Best Tomatoes to Plant in Your Garden – Black Cherry – Boxcar Willie – Stupice ?
Best Tomatoes to Plant in Your Garden
these three varieties are keeper in my garden! you might be interested why, I am going to briefly explain here:
Stupice is loaded with clusters of fruits which ripens very early so the first tomato of season you would from your garden would be this variety, Sweet and Delicious flavor with red, oval shaped 2″ fruits that will have yield generously all season long.
Black cherry is also a heavy producer, sweet tomato with low acid and very unique and complex flavor which I found very fun to eat. and it would ripen after you have had couple of Stupice tomatoes 🙂
The tomatoes are on average 1 oz and each plant would produce pounds of cherry tomatoes and I think it worth having them in your garden for their unique flavor and high production.
Boxcar Willie tomato plants will produce pounds of 6-14 oz tomatoes perfect for slicing.
A good balance of sweetness and acidity and deep red flesh make for a truly classic tomato flavor. Seeds are small and fruits ripen uniformly. Makes wonderful spaghetti sauce, tomato soup, and is great eaten raw on sandwiches, burgers, or right off the vine. it ripens after Stupice and Black cherry it is truly a wonderful tomato I like the deep red full flavor flesh and small seed that it has.
There are two hybrid cherry tomatoes ( you can see in the video) that I like to mention here as well if you had more space plant them and enjoy these sweet and flavorful cherry tomatoes in your garden, first one is Sun gold and second one is Super sweet 100.
