Your remark about location regulations just got me panicked. I’m getting a kitchen refitted soon, and I’m placing a hob between two windows. I never once asked the designer whether there were minimum distances to the windows stipulated in regs (e.g. thinking about flammable curtains). But it’s 400mm clearance. Hopefully that’s fine. (I’m getting rid of my curtains – it just doesn’t seem right to have in a kitchen).
