Pure Taro Milk Tea From Scratch Not Using Taro Powder | Savor Easy
Of all the milk teas I made at home this Real Taro Milk Tea by far, is our family’s milk tea favorite. You can taste the taro chunks and creaminess.
The taro root, as with other tubers, is recognized by other names. This tuber is also known as the dasheen, yautia, eddo and kalo in many areas of the world including West Africa, Asia, Central America, South America, the Caribbean and Polynesian islands. The roots are starchy and generally treated like potato. These tubers take on a nut-like flavor when cooked.

You can always double or triple this recipe to be shared with family and friends. Here’s what you’ll need for 1 serving:

80 grams boiled baby taro root
2 tablespoon granulated white sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 cup prepared oolong tea
1 cup ice cubes
1 tbsp non dairy creamer (coffeemate)

Preparing the Oolong Tea:
1 tbsp of Tieguanyin tea/ Or you can use 2 black tea bags (any brand)
1 cup boiling hot water

Enjoy guys! Happy sippin!

Lots of love 🙂

Food for the soul:

Isaiah 12:2
“Surely God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid.
The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense He
has become my salvation.”
