Crispy Roasted Potatoes For Christmas Day
Crispy and fluffy roasted potatoes. The perfect table filler for any occasion, especially Christmas 🎄
Ingredients –
1.7kg – 2kg (3.7lbs – 4.4lbs) – Russet Potatoes or Any High Starch Potato, Peeled & Quartered
5g (0.2oz) – Baking Soda (Bicarbonate of Soda)
130g (4.5oz) – Goose or Duck Fat or Beef Tallow (For Vegan, Use Vegetable Oil)
Salt To Taste
Oven temp – 200.c – 390.f
Cook for 1 hour turning every 15 minutes
Recipe Notes –
You can prepare these ahead of time. Pre-boil and fluff up the potatoes, allow them to cool, and store in the fridge for 3 days and can be frozen for up to 4 months. When you’re ready to cook them, pull them out of the fridge, let them sit for 30 minutes, and roast them as per the recipe. If frozen, allow them to thaw before cooking.
