How to Make Air Fryer Chicken Breasts
Prep Time: 5 Minutes
Cook Time: 10 Minutes
Serves: 4

INGREDIENTS
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 6 ounces each)
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
3/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
pinch cayenne pepper
olive or avocado oil spray

INSTRUCTIONS
Pound the thicker end of each chicken breast to even it out so they will cook more evenly. Pat chicken dry with paper towel.
In a small bowl, combine salt, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
Spritz chicken with oil and rub to coat. Season both sides of chicken with the seasoning.
Place chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer, no overlapping. Cook at 380Β°F/193Β°C
for about 8-10 minutes, turning halfway, until cooked through and instant read thermometer inserted into center of thickest part reads 155Β°F/68.3Β°C.
Let chicken rest for 5-10 minutes to finish cooking, then slice and serve.

Thank you for these tips! I tried this yesterday and the result was almost exactly as you described. Moist, tender chicken, properly cooked (I used a meat thermometer as you recommended). I think the only downside – if you can call it that – is that visually it was not as "good looking" as your chicken. My rub was made with salt, garlic powder, smoked paprika and a pinch of hot chilli powder. But at the end of cooking the rub was sort of "wet" on the outside of the meat, whereas your chicken looks like the rub has almost crisped up on the outside, while internally the chicken was still moist. As I said – the taste was awesome, it was purely cosmetic. But I wonder if you have any thoughts on improving the look? I'm in the UK and I am aware that our supermarket chicken is injected with water to keep it moist in cooking (and to improve the profit margin of the producer, of course). But I'm guessing that any chicken that is so moist internally would also be moist externally, right?
