We wanted to do something special for our brother’s birthday, so me and my sister baked him a delectable chocolate cake. Nothing says ‘happy birthday’ like a homemade chocolate cake!
Ingredients:
* 1 cup milk
* 1 tablespoon vinegar
* 1/2 cup cooking oil
* 1 cup curd
* 1 cup sugar powder
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* 1/2 cup cocoa powder
* 1 teaspoon coffee powder
* 1 cup dark chocolate chips
* 1/2 cup butter
* 1/2 cup fresh cream
* chocolate chips for topping
* sugar water (1 tablespoon sugar dissolved in 1/4 cup water)
Instructions:
1. In a small bowl, mix together the milk and vinegar. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
2. In a separate bowl, mix together the oil, curd, and sugar mix them. Add the salt, baking soda, baking powder, cocoa powder, and coffee powder. Mix well.
3. Add the rested milk mixture to the bowl and mix until well combined.
4. Preheat the oven or flat pan. Grease a flat bottomed saucepan.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared saucepan. Place the saucepan on the pan. Cover it properly. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
6. Remove the cake from the pan and let it cool.
7. Cut the cake into 2 or 3 flat slices.
8. Spread some sugar water on the slices.
9. In a small saucepan, melt the chocolate chips, butter, and cream over low heat. Let the mixture cool until it reaches a spreading consistency, about 15 minutes.
10. Spread the chocolate mixture over the cake slices. Sprinkle with chocolate crush.
11. Repeat the layers with the remaining cake slices, sugar water, and chocolate mixture.
12. Top the cake with chocolate chips.
13. Enjoy!
