Great info! What’s the amount a standard depth should stick out?
Is the counter depth fridges custom made? How do they know how deep the fridge should be for the counter opening?

I haven’t found that counter depth are actually much taller, if any taller at all, than standard after spending hours a day over the last few weeks trying to find the right one. I hope they become more common because I can’t think of any other reason they are more expensive than standard depth considering they are so much smaller. I will be upgrading from a totally basic old school 30” freezer on top with zero bells and whistles, and even the nicest counter depth fridges I’ve found only give me a few cubic feet more of space inside, compared to standards that have around 8 more than my old one.
