Dedicated Freezers for Raw Fed Dogs | Keep the Tail Wagging Blog
We have two dedicated freezers and one fridge/freezer for our dogs. I buy in bulk, so the extra space was necessary and allows us to feed four dogs a raw food diet affordably.

I buy our appliances from the Appliance Recycling Outlet in Snohomish, WA. They sell refurbished, floor models, and overstock appliances.

I order the food through a local raw food co-op; there are many across the US and you can see a current list on my blog: https://keepthetailwagging.com/coop

  1. If you feed raw, you have to have a dedicated freezer. I’ve got a chest freezer and an extra refrigerator. The initial investment may be a little expensive when it comes to feeding raw, but pays off down the road.

  2. As a raw feeder who has dogs with health issues, do or did you have vets that told you to stop feeding raw or raw feeding was part of the cause of your dogs' issues? More questions: How did you find out that one of your dogs has EPI? What symptoms did your dog have and what confirmed that your dog had EPI? Do you know of any studies or info that compare the home cooked fed dogs to those fed a raw diet?

  3. My dream for my dogs, I’m def going to invest on a chest freezer
