You’ll need
2 ½ cups cooked chickpeas, drained
½ cup tahini
Juice of 1 lemon
¾ tsp salt
2 medium cloves garlic, peeled and smashed
½ tsp ground cumin
Here’s how
1. Remove any remaining chickpea skins.
2. In the bowl of a food processor, combine cooked chickpeas, tahini, juice of 1 lemon, salt, ground cumin and 2 medium cloves of garlic. Process until well blended. If it seems too thick, with the food processor turned on, slowly add 2 to 3 tablespoons of water or olive oil until you reach the perfect consistency.
3. You can garnish with your desired toppings and serve with a drizzle of olive oil and dash of paprika.
