HOW TO MAKE RED CHICKEN TAMALES (GRANDMA’S RECIPE)
Hey everyone, hope you guys give this traditional family recipe a try! We learned to make our tamales from my great grandmother and the tradition continues, now i hope you guys can enjoy it as well!

~HOW TO COOK THE CHICKEN
4-5 bay leaves
10 whole black peppers
salt to taste about (3tbsp)
a head of garlic
whole onion
cilantro
water to cover chicken
INGREDIENTS:
20 pounds of shredded chicken
15 pounds of masa preparada para tamales, we’ll add 1 tbsp of baking powered
2 bags of corn husk 16oz
RED SAUCE FOR TAMALES:
5-6 puya chiles
12 california chiles
12 guajillo chiles
5 chiles de arbol
2 tbsp of oil to cook chiles
1 1/2 tbsp of cumin
1 tbsp of oregano
3 bay leaves
20 whole black peppers
1/2 onion
4 garlic cloves
4 tomatoes
10-12 salted crackers
1 tbsp of salt
4 tbsp of chicken bouillon or (to taste)
