Matcha Sponge Cake | Green Tea Cake 抹茶海綿蛋糕
Hello everyone, this is a delightful matcha cake recipe. Light and moist cake that is not too sweet and has a refreshing green tea fragrance. The frosting uses whipped cream, cream cheese and original matcha powder that I got from the land of the rising sun. Here’s the ingeredients:
7 eggwhites
1 tsp lemon juice
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
3/4 cups granulated sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
7 egg yolks
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup milk
5 tsp matcha powder
1 tsp vanilla
few drops of green food dye(optional)
Frosting:
500ml whipping cream
200 grams cream cheese (softened)
5 tsp matcha powder
