NO FAIL Fondant Sharp Edges
Easiest way to cover a cake with fondant and achieve sharp edges!
Tips:
1. Use good quality fondant (I am using Satin Ice)
2. When using this method on a real cake, I like to cover my cake with ganache instead of buttercream to ensure a better stability
3. If you’re covering a real cake, do not roll out your cake on the fondant stripe, instead pick up the stripe and roll it on the cake
4. The use of shortening instead of water helps you remove your “dry” fondant and allows you to reuse the dummy cake instead of throwing it away
