One Pan Chicken on a Stovetop
This one pan chicken with honey garlic sauce is one of the surprizing dishes I’ve made recently. This skillet chicken is tender, juicy and packed with flavours. A whole meal in one pan; proteins, carbs, fats and veggies. This easy one pan chicken on a stovetop is the perfect meal for midweek dinner or even for holidays.

Ingredients:
For the marinate:
5 Chicken thighs
2 tablespoons Oil
1 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
1-2 teaspoons Paprika
1 teaspoon Oregano
For the dish:
2 tablespoons Oil
1 Onion, chopped
1lb (450g) Potatoes, chopped
3 Carrots, chopped
For the sauce:
1/4 cup (60ml) Soy sauce
1/4 cup (85g) Honey
3-4 Garlic cloves, crushed
1 cup (240ml) Chicken/vegetable stock
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, mix oil, salt, pepper, paprika and oregano. Add the chicken and mix, until well coated.
2. In a large pan, heat oil. When hot, add the chicken and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side. When golden and cooked through, remove from heat and set aside.
3. To the same pan add chopped onion and cook for 2-3 minutes, add potatoes, carrots and cook for 10 minutes.
4. Meanwhile make the sauce: in a bowl or a measuring cup mix soy sauce, honey, stock and crushed garlic.
5. Pour the sauce to the pan, add the chicken and cook for 5-10 minutes.
6. Optional: bake the dish in the oven for 5-10 minutes.
