Should You Buy a Speed Queen Top Load Washer? – TC5000WN Review
There is an old saying “They don’t make “em” like they use to” except in Speed Queens case, where they make “em ” exactly like they use to and that’s a good thing, mostly.

In this video, you’ll learn about all the features of a Speed Queen Washer as well as a few features it does not have. You will also see a comparison to other comparably priced top load and front load washers.

Headquartered in Ripon, Wisconsin, Speed Queen is the world’s largest manufacturer of commercial laundry equipment

Commercial machines universally are designed to take abuse so that durability is built into a Speed Queen.

The founding fathers of this company purchased hand-powered washing machines way back in 1908.

The TC5’s best features include a 28 minute wash cycle, optional Deep Fill & Rinse, classic agitator and transmission-driven wash action, a durable stainless-steel tub, no lid locks, a full steel base with heavy-duty springs, 6 simple cycles and 4 temperature selections.

If you are tired of mold and mildew in your front load washer or just tired of front load washers’ period, then Speed Queen is worth a consideration with a better warranty and easier fix with no mold or mildew.

You do lose some features and capacity versus front loads and hybrid top loads and it is $500 more than a basic Whirlpool so you do pay for the solid construction.

However, it’s a basic machine built to last, but you do have plenty of options.

  1. Yes. I own a Speed Queen and it cannot be beat. It lasts!

  2. Great review! Just one issue, WiFi on an appliance is not a feature. It is a serious security threat to your privacy and home network and should never be used unless it can be given it's own VLAN (with any nother IOT Devices) on your network.

  3. Since Speed Queen allows full tub fill unlike competitors, do you really “feel” the smaller tub size in terms of laundry capacity? That’s the only thing holding us back from getting one. We have 2 small kids and tons of laundry.

  4. Thank you. I'm in the market.
