I have Both, Yamaha Sound better. Have much better bass and Wider Sound stage.
It’s good to finally get a comparison video, but you can’t even compare the sound between the two. Sony is great, but these Yamaha’s are on an entirely different level.
The 3D sound stage is considerably better, the bass is clearer, and all music instruments are genuinely given a better platform through the Yamaha’s.
It's a good comparison. However, less attention is paid to the sound quality. I believe sound quality is the most important attribute of a headphone. While Sony WH1000XM4 is a great headphone, Yamaha YH-EH700A offers much better sound stage. If you use your headphones primarily to listen to music, i recommend Yamaha. If the purpose is to use it for zoom calls, probably Sony is a better option. As far as sound quality is concerned, Yamaha is at a different level and honestly it is not even reasonable to compare.
Does anyone know?
can YX-E700 phones play passive 3.5 jack (while battery discharged)?
can YX-E700 play&charge via Type-C at the same time?
