  1. I bought a Bosch dishwasher because I believed it would be better designed than a cheaper one. We were flooded. The poor design of the dishwasher meant that the electronics were submerged even though the water only came to knee height. The rub salt in the wound, the replacement part cost more than the price of a new dishwasher from a lesser brand that had the same design fault. No prizes for guessing what I chose.

  2. Amazing interview Mr Hoover lux 👏 People like you have saved thousands of tonnes of plastic and other crap from landfill and filmed entertaining content with it. this throwaway society is getting too much. I'm in the overall life cost camp. Yes that fridge uses 100w more power an hour but equally it won't need total replacement within 5/8 years.

  3. Wow , built like a Kirby this is when appliances were built to last , now we live in a disposable society .
Awesome interview buddy . So true you get what you pay for when it comes to quality 👌👌

  4. The vintage Westinghouse refrigerator might look like it’s pulling more power than the modern refrigerator but in reality it’s about the same since it doesn’t have to cycle on and off as often vs it’s modern counterpart. Same rule applies to vintage air conditioners in the US since a vintage one might look like it uses more energy but since it brings the temperature down fairly quickly but doesn’t have to cycle on and off, it’s about the same. This whole “modern appliances are more efficient than vintage ones” is just a sales pitch to make you buy something you really don’t need and con you out of something that’s going to continue to operate for many more decades and that’s what the sales people and industry want.
