How to grow sweet potato slips at Deep South Texas. Sweet potatoes are grown from slips. The slips grow from the actual sweet potatoes. Today I am planting sweet potatoes from last years harvest. They will grow slips in the next month or two. I will then remove the slips and plant them to grow this years sweet pottoes.
