How to Make the Richest Chocolate Cake ( Chocolate Torte Recipe)
How to make a Chocolate Lovers Chocolate Cake? this Flourless chocolate cake is so rich and decadent you definitely want to try it if you are a chocolate lover!
Recipe:
Ingredients:
14 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped-420 g,(I used s good quality bittersweet chocolate chips)
½ cup unsalted butter-112 g
7 large eggs, at room temperature and separated
1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
½ cup + 2 Tbsp granulated sugar-125 g
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp salt
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375 F . Grease a 9-inch pan and coat it with sugar, tapping out any excess and place a sheet of parchment paper on the bottom of the cake pan.
2. Melt the chocolate and butter stirring until smooth. Set aside.
3. Whip the egg whites with the balsamic until foamy, then add 2 Tbsp of sugar, whipping until they hold a soft peak. Set aside.
4. Whip the yolks with the remaining ½ cup of sugar, vanilla and salt on high speed until pale in color.Fold the melted chocolate in by whisk and then fold in the whipped egg whites (first add half of the egg white and stir and fold then add the rest and fold until combined. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the top of the torte looses its shiny (note: chocolate torte will collapse a bit after it is pulled from the oven, and cracks may develop – that is expected). Cool in its pan and chill for at least 2 hours before slicing to serve. dust the cake with icing sugar if you like.
note:pull it from the fridge at least 2 hours before serving.
