Hi! I’m gonna share with you the recipe of pound cake.
It’s very simple and easy to make and comes out with a great smooth, soft and buttery texture.

INGREDIENTS:

Butter 125g(1/2 cup)
Sugar 125g(1/2 cup)
3 cold eggs
All purpose flour 125g(1 cup)
Baking powder 7g(1-1/2 tsp)
Vanilla powder /vanilla essence 1 tsp
Lemon juice (1 tsp) (to enhance the flavor)
2 tbsp crushed almonds

Bake at 180C for 30 to 35 min or until a skewer instered comes out clean.

Note:
Texture and flavour of this cake largely depends on the quality of butter so try to use good quality butter.
Add a tsp of fresh lemon juice to enhance the flavour.
Donot over mix the batter as it’ll lead to gluten formation and the cake will turn out hard.
Try to use cold eggs in this recipe.
Beat the butter, sugar and eggs until the sugar granules dissolve.
Preheat your oven before baking.
