One morning i opened the refrigerator and noticed it wasn’t very cold inside. The light was on and the water and ice worked, but it was luke warm inside and the compressor wasn’t turning on. So this video is the 4 things i check and was eventually able to fix the problem. It wasn’t the compressor, but the compressor start relay. The compressor and capacitor were still good. Just buy a new part and install it.

Nicely done. My whirlpool ‘side by side’ stopped freezing and cooling after we unplugged fridge to defrost. I noticed that the rear bottom blower fan was working and blowing air into freezer and cooler section of fridge however, compressor would not turn on and now I know exactly what problem may be and it’s not that expensive to fix. Thanks!

Thank you! Great teacher! I wonder if my fridges symptoms might apply. Refrigerator works fine. Then the top part of both freezer and fridge warm up. Bottom works. Unplug for about 4hrs. Starts working fine. First time lasted 3 months. Same thing happened. Unplugged again. Worked fine for 4 weeks. Happened again. Unplugged. Started working ok. Lasted only 2 days. Do you think that could be it also?
Too bad Samsung can’t diagnose anything even under warranty !
