Ribbon Cake/ Moist multi colored cake

some call it rainbow cake, depends according to the colors and the different color layers you add..In this recipe I am only using two colors, most popular colors used in a ribbon cake. This is great for any occasion, mostly seen at kids birthday parties…Hope you will enjoy this recipe

Error in video:
“Sift flour” NOT ‘Shift Flour”
Ingredients needed:
275g of All purpose Flour
250g Caster Sugar
120g butter (room temperature soften)
1 Cup regular milk (whole milk)
3 tsps of baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 large eggs
1/2 tsp of salt
9inch round pan
Bake 350F for 35-45 minutes
Method:
-Start beating the butter in medium speed till it becomes light in color
-Then start adding sugar little at a time while beating
-Half way through adding sugar add eggs, one at a time
-Beat the mixture till finish adding sugar & eggs
-Stop the beater & shift the baking powder mix flour in to the mixture
-Beat in low or even fold the flour in to the mixture
-Add Vanilla essence
-Don’t forget to scrape the bowl every now & then to combine everything
-Add salt
-While mixing in low add milk to the mixture
-Add milk in one consistency to corporate with the batter
-After adding the milk, stop the beater & scrape the bowl since the dry ingredients tend to sit on the bottom of the bowl
-Mix everything to gether
-Divide the batter in to two sections (you can divide to any sections as you like(
-Add preferred colors (little color goes long way)
-Add one color to the prepared pan, layer it evenly without touching the top part of the pan (otherwise the colors will mix)
-Tap the pan to release air bubbles
-Add the second color very carefully without mixing
-After bake in a 350F oven for about 35-45 minutes, check the cake in 35 minutes to see if its done, might change according to teh oven.
-When a skewer inserted in to the cake it should come out clean if the cake is done
-Complete fully if you are frosting the cake
-If not serve & Enjoy…
