Momos! 🥟 #shorts
Ingredients

– 240g plain flour
– 180ml water
– 1 tbsp white vinegar
– 1 tsp salt
– 1 tsp sugar
– 3 spring onions, finely sliced
– Thumb-size piece of ginger, minced
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1/2 long red chilli, finely diced
– 1 tsp ground white pepper
– 1 tsp ground cumin
– 1 tbsp soy
– 500g chicken mince

Method

1. To make the dough, simply mix the flour, water, vinegar, salt and sugar.
2. Once it comes together, turn it out onto a bench and knead until smooth, should take 4-5 minutes.
3. Leave this to rest for 30 minutes.
4. For the filling, simply mix all the other ingredients well.
5. Once the dough is rested, roll it into a long log and slice it into 2cm thick pieces.
6. Roll each piece out until it’s about 1-2mm thin, optionally at this point, you can use a cookie cutter to create perfect circles.
7. Place a heaped teaspoon of filling in the middle and bring together the two halves to make a moon shape.
8. Bring the two corners of the moon together and press.
9. Leave these on some parchment paper until you’re ready to cook.
10. To cook, simply steam the dumplings for 5-6 minutes.
11. Let them cool slightly and enjoy them with the dipping sauce.

Ingredients dipping sauce

– 1 tbsp soy sauce
– 1 tbsp rice vinegar
– 1/2 tsp sugar
– 1 tbsp chilli oil
– 1 tsp sesame oil
– 1/2 spring onion, finely diced
– Sesame seeds to garnish
