Learn how to make this beautiful and delicious slow-cooked middle eastern lamb leg that literally falls apart and melts in your mouth. This slow-cooked lamb is easy to make, cheap and most of the spices you should already have in your pantry which makes the shopping a lot cheaper and easier. As this recipe is slow-cooked it will allow you to go on by your day whilst this slowly braises away leaving you with a beautiful fragrance and aroma circling the house.

Serves 4-6

Ingredients –

Ras El Hanout Spice Mix –

2 1/2 tsp (6g) – Ground Cumin
1 1/2 tsp (3g) – Ground Coriander
1 1/2 tsp (3g) – Smoked Paprika
1 tsp (2g) – Ground Cardamom
1 tsp (2g) – Ground Ginger
1 tsp 2g) – Turmeric
1 tsp (2g) – Red Chilli Powder
1 tsp (5g) – Sea Salt Flakes

Slow Cooked Lamb –

2 Tbsp (40ml) – Olive Oil, Divided
1.4kg (3.1lbs) – Boneless & Butterflied Lamb Leg
2 – Brown (Yellow) Onions, Roughly Chopped
4 Small or 2 Large – Carrots, Roughly Chop
3 – All-Rounder Potatoes, Roughly Chopped
5 – Garlic Cloves, Crushed
1 litre (4 Cups) – Beef Stock – w
10g (0.3oz) – Flat Leaf Parsley, Roughly Chopped (Optional)
Seasoning To Taste

Cumin Yogurt –

1 Cup (240g) – Plain Greek Yogurt
1 tsp (2.5g) – Ground Cumin
Pinch Of Cayenne Pepper
Seasoning To Taste

Recipe Notes –

To store this, place it in the fridge for up to 4 days and in the freezer for up to 5 months.

To reheat, place it in a pan or pot over medium heat and let it slowly heat whilst mixing it regularly.
